The spray

Our products use the latest developments in biotechnology to provide you with a safe, pure, and environmentally friendly way to manage your allergies. Internal testing found that our nanobodies are capable of neutralizing up to 98% of Fel D1. Other products on the market are only able to neutralize up to 50% of Fel D1. On top of that, our products are incredibly safe to use and are non-invasive to you and your pet’s routine.

Allergens are harmless proteins that your body has misidentified as harmful. When you come into contact with an allergen your body has identified as harmful, an allergic reaction is triggered. For cat allergies, the allergen responsible is called Fel d 1.

Our Allergen Neutralizing Powders are engineered to be highly specific and only target the allergen it was designed to bind to. Through internal testing, we are certain that our nanobodies cannot bind to anything else.

Pacagen’s Allergen Neutralizing Spray does not work like any other allergen neutralizing spray on the market. We combat allergies in a unique way by utilizing nanobodies, a revolutionary new branch of biotechnology. Nanobodies are small fragments of antibodies, an important part of all immune systems.

These nanobodies have highly specific receptors that bind to a target allergen. For cat allergies, the allergen is Fel D1. We’ve designed the nanobodies to find and bind to any Fel D1 in its vicinity. The nanobodies act as a mask for the Fel D1, disguising it from the immune system, thus allowing it to pass through your body unrecognized by the immune system. As the immune system is unable to detect the Fel D1, your allergies are never triggered.

A nanobody is a small fragment of an antibody, an important protein in all immune systems. Nanobodies are roughly a tenth the size of a conventional antibody, so it can fit into smaller spaces and more easily bind to molecules. Although humans don’t naturally produce nanobodies as a part of their immune process, camelids (such as alpacas) do. After obtaining a nanobody sample from an alpaca, we created a blueprint for nanobody replication in a lab, allowing us to use nanobodies for a wide range of applications without requiring any additional samples. Many researchers across the world are already using nanobodies in a variety of settings, including therapeutics, diagnostics, and imaging, so you can be assured that they are safe to use.

The Allergen Neutralizing Powder works best when dissolved in a liquid and spread out over a large area. For your convenience, we’ve included a spray bottle in our Starter Packs.

One packet of the Allergen Neutralizing Powder contains enough nanobodies to be dissolved in 275 ml (9.3 fluid ounces) of liquid. We recommend that you use our Stabilizing Solution as the solvent, as it’s specifically formulated to allow the nanobodies to last longer when dissolved. Simply mix the powders until fully dissolved in the solvent of your choice and pour into a spray bottle. Spray around areas the source of allergens frequents every 2-3 days for best results.

You can find a full ingredient list of the Allergen Neutralizing Powder below:

  • Nanobodies
  • NaCl
  • Glycine
  • Leucine
  • Morning Glory Scent
  • English Lavender Scent
  • Sodium Benzoate
  • Potassium Sorbate
  • Silica

The nanobodies are proteins, so they are subject to degradation when dissolved in tap water, as minerals and impurities can disturb the nanobodies’ structure. The Stabilizing Solution is formulated to preserve the nanobodies’ structure as long as possible without hampering its neutralizing properties.

Definitely! We made sure to use a pet-friendly approach when creating our formulas. Each ingredient was hand-picked to be safe for everyone, four-legged or not, involved. However, it’s best to avoid spraying directly onto cats – cats usually don’t like getting wet. On top of that, the allergen neutralizing nanobodies are always manufactured to food-grade standards.

Spraying frequency depends on a lot of factors, including how much Fel D1 your cat produces, how severe your allergies are, and how sensitized your immune system is. We recommend starting out by spraying once every 2-3 days, then increasing or decreasing the frequency depending on if your symptoms are still present.

Depending on how concentrated the allergens are in your living space, improvements should be noticeable within hours! It’s best to use our products frequently to avoid accumulation of active allergens.

The spray doesn’t expire, but the nanobodies lose effectiveness over time. When dissolved in our Stabilizing Solution, the nanobodies are stable for up to 2 months. In standard distilled water, the nanobodies are stable for up to 1 month. We do not recommend dissolving any of the Allergen Neutralizing Powders in tap water, as the minerals in tap water can disrupt the nanobodies.

We take pride in the fact that our sprays are designed with environmental consciousness in mind. Where possible, we use biological ingredients that have no long-term environmental impact. In fact, 99% of the ingredients in the powder are biodegradable! We also make sure that all of our partners share a similar commitment to environmental consciousness.
